Citlali, the elusive Granny Itztli of the Masters of the Night-Wind, has carved out a unique niche in Genshin Impact as a Cryo shielder and off-field support. Even in 2026, her kit remains a force to be reckoned with, especially when the right catalyst is in her hands. To keep her Frostfall Storm raging and her Nightsoul's Blessing meter topped up, Travelers must pair her with a weapon that feeds her Elemental Mastery, Energy Recharge, or raw supportive power. The wrong catalyst can leave her high and dry, but the right one turns her into a Cryo artillery piece that never quits. 💥❄️
Why Citlali's Weapon Choice Matters
Citlali is not a one-trick pony. Her shield scales with Elemental Mastery, and her Nightsoul's Blessing mechanic rewards frequent skill usage and reaction damage. A catalyst with high EM or Energy Recharge can keep her rotation smooth as butter. Meanwhile, supportive passives that buff allies make her a team player rather than a lone wolf. In the current 2026 meta, where reaction damage and survivability often decide the day, Citlali's weapon is the wind beneath her wings.
Top Catalysts for Citlali
1. Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers — The Backup Singer 🎤
-
Primary Stat: 401 Base ATK
-
Secondary Stat: 35.2% HP
-
Effect: When switching characters, the new character gains a 48% ATK boost for 10s (20s cooldown).
Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers is the classic budget support catalyst, but for Citlali it is more of a backup plan than a headline act. The HP secondary stat does little for her personal damage, and the ATK buff only helps the next character. It can work in a pinch if better options are gathering dust, but Citlali deserves a weapon that speaks her language: Elemental Mastery and shield strength.
2. Fruit of Fulfillment — The F2P Friend 🍎
-
Primary Stat: 510 Base ATK
-
Secondary Stat: 45.9% Energy Recharge
-
Effect: After an Elemental Reaction, gain Elemental Mastery while losing some ATK. Can stack up to 5 times.
Fruit of Fulfillment is a solid free-to-play option that keeps Citlali's burst ready and gradually pumps her Elemental Mastery. It is not going to set the world on fire, but it gets the job done. For Travelers who want pure damage output from Citlali, this catalyst is a stepping stone rather than the final destination.
3. Wandering Evenstar — The Hidden Gem ✨
-
Primary Stat: 510 Base ATK
-
Secondary Stat: 165 Elemental Mastery
-
Effect: Gain bonus ATK based on Elemental Mastery every 10s, buffing allies as well.
Wandering Evenstar is a diamond in the rough. Its hefty Elemental Mastery secondary stat directly boosts Citlali's shield and reaction damage. The passive also shares an ATK buff with allies, making her a better team player. It is the kind of weapon that quietly does heavy lifting while everyone else takes the spotlight.
4. Sacrificial Fragments — The Skill Spammer 🔄
-
Primary Stat: 454 Base ATK
-
Secondary Stat: 221 Elemental Mastery
-
Effect: 80% chance to reset the cooldown of your Elemental Skill after dealing damage.
Sacrificial Fragments lets Citlali fill her Nightsoul's Blessing meter much faster, which means more Frostfall Storm uptime and more Cryo application. The high Elemental Mastery roll is the cherry on top. It is not too hard to obtain, making it a rock-solid choice for players who want reliability without breaking the bank.
5. A Thousand Floating Dreams — The Team Player 🌙
-
Primary Stat: 542 Base ATK
-
Secondary Stat: 265 Elemental Mastery
-
Effect: Buffs from party members based on Elemental Type.
A Thousand Floating Dreams is a stat stick with a twist. When Citlali's teammates share matching Elemental Types, she gains a serious Elemental Mastery boost. In the right team composition, this catalyst can turn her into a reaction powerhouse. It is a unique and powerful pick that rewards thoughtful team building.
6. Starcaller's Watch — The Big Dog 🐕
-
Primary Stat: 542 Base ATK
-
Secondary Stat: 265 Elemental Mastery
-
Effect: Grants an ongoing 28% DMG increase after creating a shield.
Hands down, Starcaller's Watch is the top dog for Citlali. It offers a massive Elemental Mastery boost and a 28% DMG increase after her shield goes up. That combination is simply unbeatable for her support and personal damage alike. If Travelers want Citlali to dominate the battlefield and drive her Nightsoul's Blessing to new heights, this is the weapon to chase.
